Weight loss is only one aspect of fitness measurement. Often times it is not an accurate reflection of where you are in your fitness journey. To measure weight loss alone is to ignore basic body composition measurements, cardiovascular improvements and neuro-muscular strength gains. Though the latter are generally ignored, if you were to actually start measuring these things you would celebrate alot more victories making your journey alot more joyful! When I consider the emotional and physical rollercoaster whirlwind that the weightloss journey brings, I like you, know that we have better things in life to worry about, so celebrate the small victories knowing they lead to greater, more sustainable results and remember when it comes to weight loss, the most effective way is slower.
