Weird moment today when I realized my students were 1 years old on 9/11. They have no context and have never known a world when terrorism wasnt the #1 threat...never breezed through an airport...never gone to a big public event without heightened security. Sad. I took them to a memorial of a Needham High School graduate who died in her young 30s on 9/11. Wanted to make it a little closer to home. Hope that was the right thing to do.
