Weird things have always happened in threes to me. Ive been rear-ended in my car twice in a 5-week period, with body shop repairs both times. Got my car back last week from Whaleys (they are wonderful) and the car looks brand new. Today, got a call from my neighbor around 5pm. At 1PM my house was struck by lightning. Roof damage, blew the yard irrigation box into the neighbors house next door, electrical panel black, house alarm set-off, internet, TV and phone out, water pouring out of the ground (now shut off by my helpful neighbor). So--These are the great people Ive met in the past 2 hours--Harpeth Valley Utilities emergency technician who drove out and confirmed the water pipe break in my yard needs a plumber, Lee and Company wholl be sending out a technician between 10-12 tomorrow to repair my electrical box and water pipe in the ground as well as check all my HVAC/air conditioning units for damage and the Comcast technician who will be here at 9am to fix my internet and phone (and maybe cable tv if it is all the same thing). Also to the USAA appraiser who will call tomorrow to schedule with me to assess the roof damage. Security system repairer will be out after electrical is repaired. It is amazing, but everyone I encountered was very nice and sympathetic and tried to get me emergency service scheduled right away.
