Welcome greeting from Prof. John W.A. Netting, CEO, Europe Business Assembly, United Kingdom Dear Friends! Welcome to the Oxford Summit of Leaders event and our action-packed four day programme of activities from 16 to 19 December, 2013. On this occasion we are combining a range of social events such as visits to university colleges within Oxford, a tour of the Royal Palace at Windsor Castle and two banquet evenings, with a diverse range of seminars and debates investigating anticipated future roles for science and education in the 21st Century world. During our presentations and debates we will be considering innovations in management practices designed to accommodate 21st Century organisation needs and the education processess required to support those practices, along with debating how pressures emanating from globalized markets condition the ways in which we conduct our affairs within organisations. As part of this process, the tour of the internationally famous Bodleian Library within the University of Oxford will help to facilitate our understanding of how the formal storage of and dissemination of knowledge is being dramatically changed as a result of rapid technology innovations. All-in-all, I can promise you a stimulating and enjoyable package of activities that will lay the foundation for all of your private celebrations leading up to the year end. I greatly look froward to renewing old friendships and establishing new ones over the course of our four day event. Welcome to our Oxford Summit of Leaders, having the focus title of ‘Science and Education’. During our Summit we shall be investigating new opportunities for international integration within the context of doing business in and through the United Kingdom. The keynote speeches will be followed by presentations of investment projects and programmes given by members of participating companies and organizations. We invite you to join us and potentially to discover opportunities to collaborate in new business directions. I look forward to meeting you personally and sharing with you the some of the benefits to be gained from long term business and cultural cooperation within the UK.
