Welcome to my new Facebook page linked to my new website/blog. Since quitting RAND over two years ago (!), Ive gone back and forth trying to figure out what to do professionally. Not only in terms of the subject-matter, but also something that allows me to still homeschool Hayden and spend the kind of time with her that I want for right now. For many years, Ive been told by more than a few people that I should translate my personal experience within the health care system into something. However, I also didnt want to throw away my professional knowledge. My compromise will be on this page and on my blog - Tissues and Tea (loving the alliteration). Im not sure what Ill wind up posting there or how it will evolve, but for now, Im envisioning it as a place where I can highlight quality health care information (linking to great health resource sites) while simultaneously posting commentary based on my own experiences, thoughts, and professional grounding in political and policy research.
