Welcome to the EcoTech LYIT societies FB page. A concept driven by the 2012 Cloud and Green students trying to make a change and inform individuals on new standards, improvements and predict what the future jobs may be created. The Aims of the society: Share information new standards in industry, Provide links for the latest standards and projects worldwide on the disposal of devices and provide information on safe disposal on products. Provide information on what the main stream corporate industries are doing to improve energy waste. Conduct projects on energy savings that can improve waste in large small business that will improve energy consumption. We would like for people to message any information that is valuable so our team can research and post any developments. The aims are based in the many areas and aim to benefit all Students/Staff/Business to inform and educate future students doing courses that can be carried into the future. The 2012 group are the first class to study the Cloud and Green technology 4 year honours degree, level 8 course respectively. It was collectively said that if business or individuals can reduce energy in everyday life including work and home that together we can make a impact. Over the next few weeks the website in development at the moment will launch. We dont totally focus on green but the core values has to be based with this in mind. The amount of large data centres is predicted to rise in Ireland with Mircosoft starting there main European data centre from a green field site in south Dublin at the present time. Many projects will be posted in the near future and hopefully we can help others with the information using the power of social media. Many thanks for reading this.
