Welcome to the community “British forces against Britain first”. The popularity and reach of this page has spread much faster than we had ever expected. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible with your likes, comments and shares. We are overwhelmed with your show of support. We are using this morning’s post as an opportunity to clarify the aims and the audience of this page as in the short time that we have been up and running we have been asked several times who the page is for and have had cause to defend the political stance of the page. So apologies, but this post will be quite long. This page was originally created by serving members of the British armed forces as a protest against the organisation Britain First (BF) using the armed forces to further their political goals. While the admin of this page oppose the policy of Britain First, this is not a hate group. Our intention is to use this page to expose the propaganda BF distribute involving armed forces and armed forces personnel. The posts that they put out are not backed up with sound political policy and are used entirely to trick ordinary members of the public, who think they are showing support for the British military, into supporting their Facebook page. We have seen many examples within the posts on this page of BF using images of the armed forces either without the permission of the individuals captured (indeed where these individuals are actively requesting that their image not be used). False images captured from television or film and images with no clear purposes other than to propagate clicks in social media. This is a page for anyone who wishes to join us in this protest, whether currently serving, veterans and civilians. We welcome everyone who wishes to support our protest. We actively encourage debate within our page so even if you do not support our aims but are able to string a proper sentence together and are capable of a reasoned debate, you are welcome to comment here. We ask that all who participate within our community remember to be polite. The admin here do not approve of extremism in any form, including the choice of language shared here. Please consider this before posting. Remember this page is dedicated to exposing the improper use of the British Military for the political gains of Britain First.
