Welcome to the first day of fall (officially tonight) and the weather will be much cooler than it was over the weekend. The cold front is through the state and temps this morning are in the upper 40s in the NW to mid 50s in some central locations to upper 60s in the south. Drier air working into the state will make it feel very nice outside today as temps rebound into the 70s and low 80s. Temps tonight will fall back into the mid 40s to mid 50s with mainly 70s seen on Tuesday. The nice weather will continue through the week with highs in the 70s and low 80s and overnight lows in the 50s and 60s (could be a few 40s in the north). The only chance of rain seen at this time is on Sunday as a disturbance works through bringing a small chance of showers and thunderstorms. I was up in Fayetteville for the Razorback game (woo pig) and Dads Day at the Delta Delta Delta house with my wife over the weekend and I had a couple of amusing stories to share. At the hotel I heard a women describing tailgating to a group at the table and it was funny to hear them say yes, and they all sit around under these canopies with their logos on them, drinking and eating snacks, yelling and shouting out their team calls, and watching tv. Yes..we sure do and we have fun doing it! The second was a couple from the north (I think) were on the elevator and the man asked the women what that white stuff was that people had on their plate at breakfast. The women said I think its gravy and they open their biscuits and pour it on them down here and then eat it. She then said it cant be healthy. Maybe not but it sure is good!! Have a great day and enjoy this awesome weather. By the way...the long range outlook brings most of the US to above normal temps going into the first week of October with near normal to slightly above rainfall.
