Well.... Here is the update. It has been one heck of a two days, let alone the last week. There has been so many decisions to be made and we think that we are there, then something changes and we have to start over. So here is the long story short. Dad is not strong enough physically or emotionally to go through double bypass open heart surgery. They were not even sure the end result would result in improvement. That being said, we cancelled it yesterday and have submitted for more testing and other options. We have completed the testing and the specialist team has given us 2 choices. 1 . Do nothing. 2. Surgery Monday to place a stint or 2 possibly 3 in the left main and lad with a possibility of a y stint in the LCX arteries. We have opted for the stint surgery on Monday and are praying for a successful outcome to this procedure. With that being said, the surgery that we have opted for is still very serious and there is a possibility of it not being successful. But doing nothing is unsuccessful as well. Soooo... Prayers are greatly accepted and appreciated for success of this surgery and to guide the surgeons hand during the procedure. The possibility of prolonging his life is just that...a possibility. They have given us percentage numbers on success, failure and prolonging life and the heart being repaired with this procedure.
