Well I am getting so irritated by the apparent apathy by some of our councils towards Peel ......why is it the man on the street can see through their cunning antics and they cant !!! Tonight I have written again to Panorama, Inside Out, and Private Eye :- Dear Sir, Further to my email 15/11/2014 I received the following posting on my Facebook page yesterday :- I am CEO of the company owning the MFC (Middlesbrough Football Club) turbine and I am absolutely disgraced by Peels conduct. I have recently commissioned an expert witness report that concludes the radar mitigation planning condition is unnecessary and should never have been imposed by Middlesbrough Council in the first instance. I have since found that there are quite a number of wind farm developers that have paid Peel various sums of money and suddenly their objection on the grounds of air safety is retracted. I have half a dozen letters sent from Peel to the Council containing various attempts to uphold the planning condition on the grounds of air safety, yet I have established this to be a fallacy. It should be noted that there is no mitigation solution available that has been approved for operational use by the CAA. In this context, the money taken from the various developers does not contribute to such system as no system exists. Unfortunately for Peel, they have picked the wrong target this time and without giving away too much, rest assured this will come back to bite them very hard and the wider investigation into their conduct is already in progress. Peel have been hoodwinking the local councils into believing their stories for too long and as such, various developers have suffered unacceptable and unfounded delays. Quite why the Councils support this conduct is beyond me, however I do consider an element of corruption is present here. Additionally, the Teesside Offshore Wind Farm and the Seamer wind farm, present far greater concern than a single turbine in an isolated location such as the stadium, yet these operational projects seem to have conveniently passed under the radar. Peel has run the airport into the ground and is now about to apply to develop part of it for housing, claiming it needs the money to revitalise the airport. Meanwhile this £6.6 billion company is trying the get a grant from the recently announced £90 million “Growth Deal” administered by Tees Valley Unlimited, the regional development agency, to pay for a road to open up 1.9 million square feet of industrial space for which it already has planning consent. Any other developer, particularly with Peels assets, would simply pay for the road as part of the pre-development costs. Local politicians are seriously considering it. At the same time Peel is claiming previous grants - £2 million for a new road into the airport and £450,000 to refurbish the terminal – as its own expenditure and investment into the airport on its web site. Please look at my facebook page SAVE Teeside Airport and all the comments on it to get a feeling for how local people are reacting to Peels running of the airport. I do not have the resources to Investigate it further. Can you help?
