Well I am going away to Cape Verde tomorrow but I havent even finished work yet or started to pack. Darren Fox and I have had an horrendous few days as the old chap we provide palliative care for (which is a difficult enough task to deal with on a daily basis) was thought to have had a heart attack on Sunday. They say a crisis never comes at a convenient time.....too true! We have been back for forth to North Staffs (which is a trauma on its own) and we have just got back from the hospital again tonight having got him a rehabilitation bed for a couple of weeks. Thankfully it wasnt a heart attack. I have had to go back to work to get things in order (as much as I can) and then I need to go and iron and pack. Despite my thinking I should cancel my holiday, Darren has reassured me that he will be fine and very selflessly said I should go. Georgia has said the same and hasnt grumbled that she has been somewhat neglected through all this. I am truly blessed to be married to Darren and have Georgia as our daughter. I am going to miss them so much but thank them for encouraging me to go. I love them both to the moon and back xxx
