Well I came home from work Saturday to find a hawk trying to attack my parrot! Talk about panic attack...called the exotic animal clinic/emergency service on Saturday and they wanted $200 to walk in the door. They were VERY helpful and talked me through the what hes doing and what to watch for. As of last night he was still holding his foot up and not walking on it or moving much at all. Then he drank some water and walked upside down across the top of his cage (gingerly, but he did it) and finally talked saying good night to Bob. Hes still not acting 100% but did eat some food and this morning hes keeping the foot on the perch. Quite a bit of blood on the porch about 1.5 feet away from the cage from the hawk so you know there was quite an altercation that took place. Thank you God for keeping my bird safe and for the large cage we just put him in. If he had been in the apartment size cage we had before he may not have made it.
