Well I certainly didnt expect my brother Mark Genovese to wind up back in the ER and now admitted back into the hospital. About the same time as he acquired the infection in his vertebrae he also has been having (for more than 4 months) stomach pain in varying degrees of severity all this time. However, the doctors were quite certain that the stomach pain was caused by the nerves coming from the back. Well after much complaining his primary care doctor finally decided to get an ultrasound and see if anything else was going on. So he sent us to Northwest Surgical Specfialist and got the results from the ultrasound showing he has Gallstones. But that doctor assured us that millions of people have gallstones and dont even know it and he didnt feel Marks symptoms were relative to gallstones. So he sent Mark over for Endoscopy and Colonoscopy this past Wednesday and other than taking a nodule from that for biopsy..which turned out benign..Thank you Lord, it didnt show possibility of any other problems. Well haha and no ho ho ho..it turns out that the gallstones have moved and is lodged in a duct between his Gall Bladder and Liver. So right now as I speak Mark is in the Hospital awaiting another Endoscopy, (this time much deeper) so that the Gallstone can be removed and/or have his Gallbladder taken out. We shall see. What a huge huge amount of pain hassle worry and all that goes with it . But by golly when he gets home this time he will be experiencing a ton less pain.
