Well I have some news......some of you may know and some may not so let me get straight to the point, Chris and I are going to be grandparents. This came as a complete shock to us late this summer. We went through quite a few emotions but the only emotion that seemed suitable for us was love and acceptance. These two kids are awesome. They both have great goals and are excellent students. Maveric wants to be a high school math/science teacher and get his masters in administration. Haley wants to be an ultrasound tech, she is set to graduate this winter and start her college ASAP. Our job as their parents is to help them achieve their goals and to teach them to be the wonderful parents I know they will be. From this point on if any of you have anything negative to say to me or my family then you need to delete yourself right now, we only have enough room for positive happy thoughts :) Jokes towards Chris and i about being old grandparents are fine but please dont joke about my kids unless they are ok with it and also find it funny.Being a mom is one of the hardest, and most rewarding jobs I have ever had, but my soul purpose in life is to protect and help my children. I dont care if they are 70 years old that is what I intend to do. Our plans are to change the garage into a small efficiency apartment (bed, crib, couch, closet) and to help them as much as we can until they graduate and achieve their goals. Thats going to mean a big lifestyle change for Chris and I also and we are ready with open arms! Haley has become a part of our family over the past couple years and now she is finally stuck in it with us for good lol our entire family has been amazing with support and the friends that know have also! Im not sure why this has happened but I know it has happened for a reason. Babys are blessing! I was a product of very young parents, they had quite a few struggles, and i ended up being raised by my dad and his parents. I always thought I was a burden to everyone until I got older and realized I was here to keep my grandma company. My grandfather traveled all over the world and worked long hard hours. It was usually just her and I most of my life. We were inseparable.....well mostly on my end, I couldnt stand for her to even go to the bathroom without me lol! And then there was Chris and I who had a baby at a very young age. It was not easy all the time and we struggled often. Before we had Maveric we were headed down a bad path, that baby saved us! Our lives had meaning when we held maveric in our arms. People thought we would never make it but boy did we prove them wrong! All babies are here for a reason. We may not know right now what that reason is but there is one for sure. This child could find the cure for cancer for all we know or it could just be here to keep its grandma company :) So I ask for all of my friends acceptance and support of the ever growing Collins family. With that being said we will take any and all donations to get this garage finished ;) ;) ;) J/K I truly love you all, I only keep the highest class of friends around anyway. Lets get this crazy party called life started! Ps due date is April 1 (April fools day) and we will find out the gender next Wednesday, we will post a gender reveal soon so stay tuned!!!!!
