Well, I just want to inform my Maliseet friends, that Tracy director of our Maliseet Head Start, thought I wasnt within my capacity to continue being the Family Support Worker. I felt like I was doomed even before I accepted the position. Its true, I wasnt the Directors choice, and yes some of the non-native employees threatened to quit even before I arrived. Yet, I went in with a positive attitude, and worked hard, and worked with little to no help. I kept to myself, and did my best. I just want you all to know that I never gave up. When it came time for 90 day evaluation, I was informed that my performance was terrible, and that I was being let go, and that our Chief, and TA both signed off on the paperwork to let me go. I was truly hurt, and disappointed. I didnt realize how much they wanted me gone. But, I want to thank those who gave me this opportunity, and that I enjoyed seeing our children everyday. I did my best I could. Thank-you all who believed in me, I will never forget it.
