Well I met with some of the nicest people today at the Gasfield - TopicsExpress

Well I met with some of the nicest people today at the Gasfield Community Support Group meeting. Sad stories shared all around, truths about the gas impact on our tank water supplies shared. You know the impacts on this group of people is beyond belief, yet all the government and the companies have to say is, NO IT DOESNT IMPACT and everyone goes back to sleep. So the National Pollution Inventory says the air in the region is being polluted by thousands of tons of toxic chemicals, yet the testing identified none of it. Well that was QGC testing, strangely enough though, independent testing shows alarming results. Even the government testing is exceptionally questionable, now I worked for the public service and I see how they are playing the game of testing only what they can explain away, called covering their arses, yet the testing identifies what they should be testing for, the missing data, yet they dont do the tests. Is that incompetence, negligence or corruption, I wonder. So as I was brought near to tears on several occasions as i listened to the stories, saw the tears, for a change i didnt cry, but i wanted to. I listened to people expressing feeling from exhaustion to suicidal to homicidal thought to just giving up. But the thing is, this industry is harming genuine people and the environment, it is getting away with it because the government is looking the other way. So, to the government I say, do your job, both as an elected body and as a public servant body. This industry has managed to get away with these atrocities around the world, the very question you have to ask, are Australians so controlled that they will allow foreign companies to destroy honest Australian lives, future and the environment. It is in the balance at present isnt it, have we sold our souls or are we going to stand up for RIGHT.
