Well, I realized today that I MUST stay in my own lane. I tried to surprise my husband with corn pudding for todays dinner. That was the first thing I made at 7am (thats early for me). Put all the stuff in it, put it in oven and sat patiently until he woke up so he could smell it and that he did. When I removed it from the oven I sat it on the burner and proceeded to do what I was doing. Well, 10 or 15 min later I here a loud noise like a gun shot. I dropped my pot of string beans on the floor that I was moving from the oven than I discovered the unthinkable. The burner that I put my corn pudding on was still on. My whole dish blew up all over the kitchen, glass and corn everywhere and Im walking on hot string beans and water. So I bust out crying (yes crying)! Wilbur rushes into the kitchen because of the gun shot sound and me screaming and says was that corn pudding. Remember yall Im still crying and Im telling him what I put in it and how good it was going to be. Then I look up at him and it almost looks like he was wiping his eyes and trying not to laugh. Then he ask me after you clean up the food off wall and floor can you call your mother too see if she made some?? WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I think I will stay in my own lane which is not the cooking one. Yall have a Blessed day!!!
