Well.... I went out to cut the grass today. Sunny.... 71 degrees.... perfect. The problem is that I am unable to cut it all at once. I do about 1/4 and have to stop for awhile (back). Anyway.... perhaps youve heard/seen me mention my neighbor, Mary Seelye? Well, she was outside weeding and had already dug up a MONSTER of a weed behind my shed that I hadnt gotten to yet. Anyway.... we chatted for a bit :) and then I started cutting the grass. It was going as planned until I started on the backside of the 3rd quarter that my plan started falling apart. My back was screaming at me so I had to put the mower away and look at finishing tomorrow. Anyway, I came in the house, fixed something to eat and then laid down to rest awhile. After I turned down the volume on the TV I could faintly hear a sound I didnt recognize. I looked and saw it wasnt Gizmo.... he was napping in HIS recliner. After a few more minutes I still couldnt figure out what it was so I got up and walked out onto the porch.... and what do I find? Mary. She was weeding the sidewalk in front of my house. Not just weeding but using a tool to get the roots out as well!! As a reasonably young man it is pretty embarrassing to see someone do something for me that I should be able to do for myself and have done my whole life. Well, anyway, I did my best to thank her (it sounded awfully flat to me) and came back in to lay down. Then, about 1/2 hour ago, the phone rang. Mary wanted to let me know that I had left my window down in the truck (I completely forgot). Well... I went out and put the window up and guess what? The rest of the grass was cut!!! Now.... I dont believe in the Grass Fairy (I suppose some who smoke it do) so methinks the same person who was out WEEDING today finished cutting my grass!!! Thank you, Mary. I couldnt have asked for a better, more caring neighbor. Thank you. :)
