Well, Ive heard that life goes thru cycles every 7-10 years. Mine has come to change again. Childhood, teen years, dating and marriage, kids.... Time to change again. I originally thought the next milestone would be when my kids would graduate. Its come earlier than I thought. Im clearing out the basement for an unexpected adventure as Im trying to see it. I had to stop. Sitting here in tears. So many memories now laying at the curb just to be taken away as if its just a pile of dirt. Kids toys, strollers, rock posted collected over the years. Plaques of rock bands won from games at the shore, old calendars that hung on my wall in my childhood bedroom.... All waiting for the trash truck. My hearts breaking, mourning the death of my younger self. But to make matters worse, the person Im, correction, were making sacrifices for, doesnt even recognize what we are doing for them. Has an arrogance beyond anything Ive seen. Bending over backwards to rearrange the lives of 5 people just for one. Lord, Im gonna sin like a muther. And I still better be welcomed into heaven for the sacrifice I made. Life as I know it is over. Its now 100% on the defense and my kids come first.
