Well Ive just got in from Coventry tonight and I am disappointed, although not surprised, to see that the good things about this sport are rarely mentioned on here. With what happened on Friday between Greaves and Sarjeant tonight had the makings of a proper nasty one but the 2 rose above it and acted like proper professionals. In only the 2nd heat of the night the 2 came up against each other, Greaves was 2nd with Sarjeant 3rd but chasing closely, NG locked up right in front of JS but instead of fuelling the situation JS immediately lay the bike down, 1-0 to JS, both riders received treatment and NG, getting up first went to check on JS, 1-1. In heat 9 they faced each other again, NG led the race with a great start and never once looked to cause JS any harm as he was chasing, 2-1 to NG, Sarjeant then produced a stunning pass on the outside and again, no hand gestures or anything to rub it in, 2-2, at the end of the heat both went to each other and exchanged a warm handshake 3-3. Whatever happens at the inquiry next week they have both gone up in my estimations. Also a quick mention for Simon Gustafsson and Dakota North who both, in separate heats cleared the track even though Coventry were on a 5-1 in each of the heats. Swindon have never been my favorite club but when I go there for the return next Monday I can honestly say, if we lose I cant think of a better outfit to lose to. Well Done all tonight.
