Well.. LAST chemo... I am sitting in the lazy boy, as its running through my veins. Im so very thankful to be at this point. Im deeply thankful for you all, for being by my familys side throughout these past couple years. You have encouraged us greatly, and many times have given me the strength to keep on. I love you all sooooo much! I had a bit of a shock yesterday. Got a call from the surgeon wanting to see me. A report came in from Moncton saying they would like me to have a mastectomy. There is an area on the lower side of my breast they fear could be a potential recurrence. So as preventative measures, they suggested I do this. I wasnt expecting this... But I am going ahead with it. I know the fear of recurrence I will live with for the rest of my life for both Aliyah and I. If this will give me a little piece of mind, Im for it. They are giving me 4 weeks, to recover from chemo. Then I will go to moncton for the mastectomy and reconstruction at the same time. I had asked if I could do that at the same time. Save me a future surgery. And it looks like because of the mastectomy, I will not need radiation! Very excited about that! I wasnt sure how I was going to travel everyday for 6 weeks to moncton! So that is the plan so far. :)
