Well Lachlan looked like he was having a good morning this morning - TopicsExpress

Well Lachlan looked like he was having a good morning this morning so he went jacket shopping with his carer Peta. They didnt find what they were looking for but I met them for lunch at Grand Central in the food court. Unfortunately we had to make a quick exit to the parents room in Grand Central as Lachlan began to experience some minor seizure symptoms like nausea, vague etc. We sat there and put him on some oxygen and monitored his pulse and oxygen levels and thankfully he came good so we took him home and he is again in bed I think for the afternoon. Good news is that 9 request forms came through today and test tubes etc for endocronology testing and we have a lot of testing in the next two weeks to be done in the home environment and this Thursday he will be admitted to Toowoomba Base Hospitals Paed ward for testing purposes. It is important that all of these tests are done as some have never been done before and we need a good endocrine picture prior to surgery to drain the cyst that is located in close proximity of the pituitary, hypothalamus, brain stem and optic nerve. We have long suspected endocrine problems due to his rapid and unexplained growth at onset of his illness and his ongoing rapid growth. We are very happy that this testing is being done...... understatement. :-) One of the risks of surgery is pituitary damage, so this stuff is important stuff do before surgery.
