Well Well Well in just a few more revolutions of the clock , 2014 will cease to be and 2015 will begin. Many of us plan New Year Resolutions. I will do ............ in the New year. I will stop doing ......... in the new year. We have heard them all , from quit smoking to losing weight. The wide array of resolutions are all encompassing. We proclaim declarations of things we will do or accomplish. Many of us start the new year like we are shot out of a cannon, full steam ahead, until we hit the tough spots and all of a sudden , January 21st ughhhhhhh you guessed it resolution broke. As we look for the closing of 2014, we have to think that 2015 cannot exist without the passing of 2014. There must be a passing , before there can be a new. The old must fade before the new can be ushered in. Much like in our spiritual walk , the old must die for the NEW to come. Romans 6:4-6 4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; 7 for he who has died is freed from sin. 2 Corinthians 5:17 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Luke 14:27 27 Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. My resolution prayer for you and me and all believers. Father, my God , my King , my Lord, hallowed be thy name, so Holy, so Righteous,so wrathful, so loving. just, and sovereign. Perfect creator , compassionate and full of mercy. Thanks and Glory be to you for the moves you made boldly in 2014, thanks and Glory be to you for the things you did with accuracy in subtlety. The providence in which we walk and the fact that we have made it to the closing of 2014 and the beginning of 2015 is surely a testament of your sovereign power Lord. You are so good to all men, and all men are undeserving. You show your power in so many ways and it escapes us. Grant us the portion of sight to allow us to see you in the smallest of insects unto the brightest of sun rays. Let us see you in the face and smiles of your children. I pray for steadfast love of your children to you. I pray for Our hearts and eyes to be tuned to your Glory as we traverse through the great unknown of 2015 that it be filled with the evidence of your great love for us. I pray your children walk in a manner befitting the nature of your character showing Glory for you power. I pray for your saints to be granted mercy , power , and perseverance to bear a witness to show your Glory and accurately depict the King we are so enslaved to. I pray Father that we turn our eyes to the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Father I pray you grant us the ability to tell those that do not know you who you are with accuracy and love, compassion , and mercy. Father I pray that your saints crucify all self ambition and become united for your Glory. Father I give thanks knowing that your ears hear these prayers. I am joyful in all circumstances , sufficient in Christ , joyful in dirt and in awe of your Glory. Father I pray that you keep creating us. With assurance and boldness, I lay this at your feet in the throne room. I am so in Love with You Lord. In the great Glory and power of Christ I pray. Amen
