Well, after 33 years I decided that my little Who Me duck deserved a good make over and after searching for the right person for 3 days I met Jonathan from Alliance tattoos on Washington Rd. and commissioned him with a challenge.. 2 1/2 hours later.. Mr. Who Me has got his SWAG back on !!!! :) The brief history of this tattoo: Back in the late 30s and early 40s, the Germans owned the seas do to there U boats early submarines technology. They were sinking anything they wanted to at will and this sent terror to the Allied Navys and merchant ships do to the fear of knowing they might be the next ship sank. Uncle Sam had already stated the We want You slogan, which was very effective in bring in recruits to the Army but the Navy needed something catchy like the Uncle Sam, We want You... Their response was ingenious. . 2 Ducks became the answer. There was the Who Me duck and the Ya You duck.. With this sl8fan and the U.S. finally moving forward with Submarine technology, we were back in control of the Seas of Asia and Europe. Do you feel like you are sinking or are you tired of watching others sinking around you?? Do you feel inadequate in knowing how to dtop yourself or others from sinking?? If so, you are in the perfect position to allow God to Save you and others by the grace of Living Water.. In John 4, Jesus invites the Samaritan woman to drink from the eternal well of water that is never ending and can bring your life into everlasting life which no (sub-power) can sink as long as you believe in the power of Christ and His blood that was shed for you!! You can place a Duck anywhere and he or she has a built in navigation system to always find water... Anywhere... desert, jungle, fog,.. it doesnt matter... As a D.U.C.K. (Disciple Under Christs Knowledge) you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!! Greater is He in you then all the sinking terror in the world!! :) P.S. I did not know all of this when I got the tattoo in 1981.. my Dad had a Skunk on his forearm... a Duck seemed to fit me better... :)
