Well, being here in the US has made me realize that in the quality of persons that American society has. There is a lot of things to learn from this culture; The respect for nature, the protection for children, love towards animals, and the care for the environment…well there is a lot. But talking about this subject, I remember that when Americans arrived in Guatemala, we saw them with interest and joy to see foreigners in our land. Maybe the African people feel the same reaction to see so much foreign journalist, but what caused me some sadness was when I read this: “A lot of South Africans don’t like the spectacle around the coverage,” said Mr. Dawes, the editor. “They don’t like the crowds around houses or hospitals; they see it as ghoulish and invasive.” Those people who simply do not give respect towards culture and sensibility of life give a bad image to all the good American people. *thanks to the NY Times for letting the world know!
