Well don´t know where to start on this status, yesterday I finished 44th in the Nokia Lumia 1020 National Geographic Puerto Rico contest, I was made aware of this contest by my close friend João Luis Costa and the result is down to you lovely people for voting, 191 votes in the end I think, the next stage will involve judges picking the top 40 images not the ones with the most votes but the best photographs of the 50 and everyone chosen will receive a new Nokia Lumia 1020 mobile phone with it´s reputed 41 megapixel camera, those photographers among you are now raising your eyebrows but I have used the camera and the quality is well above that of all other phones, after that the top five of those 40 will be invited to take part in a four week trek with national geographic through Puerto Rico photographing for articles in National Geographic with the phone. My lovely wife Karen Anne Storey went all out getting people to vote for me and some true friends on here shared on my behalf and went above and beyond to help my chances. A big big thank you to all that helped I am sure a lot of folks from my friends list weren´t online during the voting period and also a few had problems with the site but no worries got my position so that is that.
