High time action be taken against the AG for his illegal persecution and intimidation against Anwar’s lawyer Surendran from discharging his professional duty to defend Anwar in Fitnah II by abusing the Sedition Act. If a defence lawyer can be charged for sedition by publicly airing a main ground of defence against the unjust conviction of his client, then an atmosphere of fear will set in, effectively clipping the tongues of defence lawyers in all future criminal trials. This is sabotage against our justice system of the highest order, and the AG must not be allowed to get away with his wanton abuse of the law. Yes, Surendran should seriously consider citing the AG for contempt of court for his interference into Federal Court’s imminent hearing of Anwar’s final defence against his sodomy conviction
