Well friends, this is a hard post to share and we don’t think very many of you will like it. Next Friday, August 8, 2014, will be our last day in business. This wasn’t an easy decision to make and we do believe the business itself could be quite profitable for someone with perhaps more business prowess, knowledge, and a different outlook. (And yes, it’s for sale so let’s talk!) You see, we never started this business to make our millions. We started our business to help some folks out with jobs, have some fun, and most importantly be involved and invested in our community. We are proud of what we’ve done, from donating thousands of dollars to various causes, to providing what we think is the best food in town, and being what we believe is most important—contributing members of our community. The lessons we’ve learned are CERTAINLY too many to count and will definitely be something we will carry with us in all endeavors. But at the end of the day, folks have to do what’s best for their families…and this is what is best for our family. Don’t worry about us, because we are fortunate to have many options. Please do, however, think of our staff. We only have three more we need to find jobs for and yes, I’d give all of them glowing recommendations. I think you’ll agree, we had the friendliest staff around and these girls deserve to work for good folks, so again, if you have something let’s talk. But most importantly, don’t be sad. Don’t look at us as “more proof nothing ever succeeds in Cameron.” Don’t use our closing as proof that there is something inherently wrong with the town or the people. Don’t use us as your excuse to not take a chance! We are proud of our business and what it has meant to us and many others and have learned so much and met so many awesome people! So come and see us next week, Tuesday August 5-Friday August 8 from 10-2! We will be there, happy to serve you and let you enjoy your favorites one last time. Please get your gift cards in to us so we can honor them. We don’t want to leave anyone feeling slighted. And please, whatever you do, don’t hesitate to tell our staff how much you’ll miss them because we will too!
