Well here we are, on the 4th of July eve. Not exactly Christmas eve, but it works for me. I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off my chest today. Rhinda has been gone just over two weeks. I think this is about the only time Ive spent on the puter since she left. Ive been too tired to do anything. Whoops that reminds me, I have a load of clothes in the washing machine I need to put in the dryer. I went back and looked at some of my past posts, and found the one I wanted. I wrote back in early April I had to pressure wash my deck to stain it. I just got finished staining the dern thing this week! Man I wanted to get that done sooner. its been hot enough to give ya a heat stroke. Listening to the radio while I was staining a few days ago. the heat index was over a 100. Im working in the sun, not a speck of shade to be found. It was so hot my clothes got so wet they were stuck to me. Its just miserable down here four months out of the year. June thru September they can have it! Oh how I wish I was up north. Well you know the old saying, you wish in one hand and crap in the other then see which one ya get! The cat is curled up on the bed sleeping. the dog is curled up on the floor next to my chair. I hear fire crackers going off all over the place. Yes tomorrow is the 4th of July. Well I got my cooking done for tomorrow. I was mowing the grass and quit at 430 today. That gave me time to shower and put a whole slab of baby back ribs on the grill. I left them on until they were falling off the bone tender. Had some sweeeeeeet fresh corn on the cob and blackeyed peas! OMG good. I cooked enough that I wont have to cook again tomorrow. just heat and eat. Ah yea I forgot, dutch apple pie for dessert. Hard to find summer apples down here to make apple pie, but if you really really want one....................... You buy it at PUBLIX! lol So tomorrow I finish cutting the grass and Im finished outside until my plane leaves on Thursday. Well I might mow again on Wednesday cause Ill be gone for 10 or 12 days. I dont remember how long for sure, but its gonna be nice to get outta Florida for a while. Ill have to finish building the barn I started for my buddy. Not looking forward to that work in the August heat, but thats just another thing thats got messed up and pushed back on me this summer. But with any luck at all, all my bad luck will be over and after I finish the barn I can come to Ohio in September to visit my family. Maybe even stay into October when it starts getting cool and see some of the leaves change. Well that cat is looking too comfortable. I need to get up and slap her just because I can. On second thought, shes too mean to slap. Shed sneak back in the bedroom and get even with me. So everyone that reads this, yall take care of yourselves, and those you love! Ah Lordy Lordy Ive written so much my page has moved down so far I see one of the pictures with me and that old beard I grew last year. I would be dead from the heat if I was still sporting that thing! HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY! I dont wanna read on here someone lost their fingers! Peace and lots of love.
