Well....heres my update...was supposed to come in for surgery on Friday (today), however on Tuesday night I decided we should have Chinese. My fav is Beef Broccoli. I ate it Tuesday night and had the remainder Wednesday for lunch. The broccoli blocked up my small intestine. It felt like I was in labor...the pain was the most intense I have ever felt. So...My wonderful hubby brought me to the hospital early...still here. Theyve been pumping my stomach since midnight Wednesday night. Hoping to get this nasty tube out today so I can FINALLY eat. Surgery was cancelled for now. Dont know when it will be rescheduled. May have to do chemo first then have surgery, but all is good...Im still alive and not in pain anymore. Moral of my story...IF YOU HAVE AN ILEOSTOMY, DO NOT EAT BROCCOLI !!!
