Well how is the New Year treating everyone?? Good We hope. Last year we expected Keith to be on dialysis but it seems he has the little kidneys that could. He went to the kidney doc today and good news all his levels (potassium, phosphorus, iron, sodium) are great except now his kidney function is at 10.8%.....getting closer to dialysis. As many of you know he is also has severe cramping in his hands and they said a form of severe writers cramp. He still in the beginning of finding out what can be done about it but it has been going on 2 yrs. Keith still needs to lose more weight to be eligible to be on transplant list, so all he can do is continue to focus on eating healthy because exercise is not always possible when you have no energy. Always positive as we enter this new phase of treatment we keep in mind what doctor said that it has been miraculous how long his kidneys have lasted when he thought in February 2012 it would be a couple of months. Treat your body good some you know might need an organ one day :)
