Well...its been a while since Ive commented on my timeline. What can I say...I have been busy. All you retirees know what I mean, and Im no exception. We seem to function as if we were going to live forever and time means nothing. Anyway, enough philosophising....this is another good day! As you all know, the west coast has been getting more than its share of rain, which has not made for as many golf-able days as wed like....unless you like golfing in that sort of weather (and I dont). Yesterday was nice and today looks good also...and being the optimist that I am, Ive already pre-booked a Tee time for today. I will admit that the fairways are somewhat spongy and wet feet are assured, but what the hell, thats winter golf. Besides spending a lot of time at Glacier Greens, I got back into doing a little baking again. I baked a cherry pie last night and Ill bake an apple pie tonight. I know that Pumpkin is traditional at this time of year but Im freezing the pies for later use and Pumpkin doesnt fare that well in the freezer. I got a great deal on a 32 oz. container of shucked oysters yesterday, so Ill be having oysters on toast and/or oyster stew for the next couple of days....and I might add that it doesnt get much better than that. For any of you that are interested, all is well with me and the only real complaint I have is my golf game....which is really old news. Time for me to go....my Tee time is rapidly approaching.
