Well last night I was given a commendation for something that Im sure was undeserved in comparison, however still chuffed to bits. This couldnt have been done without being part of the finest company I have ever worked with. Under command of the finest Company Commanders and Company Sergeant Majors you could have wished for, Leighton Michael Ryan, my oldest and finest I couldnt have got through it without you, your leadership and friendship mean the world to me and I only hope you know this, Dean Hughes, David Scarf two amazing platoon sergeants who never lost their nerve and always led from the front, Fred Lloyd George, James Young no one could have faulted what you gave to the company, Michael Jones, and amazing friend, a fantastic Owl for the laughs and my lack of temper control it is you who deserves this commendation, Guy Charles-Jones, the moth we sent on our own was the worst in my life as I had to share it with you and pick up your mess although I wouldnt have had it any other way, thee fantastic LSgt that were without a doubt working way above their pay scale in comparison to what as expected years ago, Tom Lawrence a true leader and i wish you all the best for your future, lastly the fantastic Guardsmen, that people are quick to slag off and call meat, walk a day in their shoes and then judge, 18 years old men grafting their tits off for another rights to freedom, but the most important person who stuck with me through ABH charges, stealing buses, getting bust, getting hit by buses (twice) jumping off stairs, trying to eat my own shit and breaking pretty much every kitchen utensil we have on my ass Louise OBrien you truly are my rock, I am blessed to have you and for all my sins I love you dearly. My amazing friends, amazing family, Jack OBrien, Thank you guys, you make me, ME!!
