Well my friends, every day is a decision we face to decide what kind of people we want to be. I petition that we choose to be the "mature" people of society. I was speaking with some of my friends on what it means to be a mature person. As we debated and tried to boil it down to one thing we could all agree on, we found that the "mature" people were those that would think before they acted. They would asses the situation, take time to ponder the effects their actions would have, and pursued to choose the course they felt was best. I would submit that this voice of reason comes from a source beyond ourselves. How do we just suddenly know what is right? How can we explain the silent teacher that fills our minds with knowledge and confidence? Scriptures teach us this is "the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;" (2Nephi21:2) Take time to be mature, stop and think before you act or speak. The Lord is then there, in your heart, to teach and protect you. His love is immense and can not be limited. He is helping all His children as they seek their own improvement. God is our Loving Heavenly Father, just as any other father He will help us as we stop to find advice. Look with in your own experiences, that is where you will find him :)
