Well, not a big party band, I suppose, but definitely a big *college* band - Cant say I was a fan of all their stuff, but do remember many an REM song providing soundtrack to my shennaniganz from time to time. I remember being in someones room over at Mary Ward - BLASTING End of the World as We Know it at 3am, (...with this persons unfortunate neighbors periodically kicking the door in order to get us to stop.) I also remember crafting more than a few sub-sandwiches at tha (Ye Olde) Verducci Sub-Shop - to the song, Stand (Which I always found funny, cuz I was indeed *standing* in the place where I both worked *and* lived...) I remember seeing this clip when it aired actually. Will have to look it up, but I don’t think Letterman had been on very long at this point - Like, maybe a year or so. Oh man, this clip looks so old now. Feels like Im watching old Ed Sullivan, or Hullabaloo clips from the decades before this.
