Well on our first weekend this past Saturday driving our 2015/14 - TopicsExpress

Well on our first weekend this past Saturday driving our 2015/14 CS E-trek along I-287 in NJ the check engine lite came on. Wife read the 3 options that are associated with it. No big issues. No messages. But then a few minutes later the death warning of Low DEF and only 10 starts left, came on. I immediately called our delivering dealer as their shop was still open. Asked since we were only at 700+miles, did they top off the DEF tanks before delivery to me. His answer: YES, we always do. But he told me they have experienced problems with some new MB DEF tank heaters. Drove along and later the message went away. Then got replaced with 16 starts message, which eventually too it went away. When we stopped for the nite we added 1.5 qts of DEF fluid. Drove home and no other issues except the Check Engine light has been on. Visited the MB dealer today in Reading PA and they read the code: NOX sensor problem. It was recorded several times but its not important enough to have MB replace it, YET. Cleared the code and driving about 20 of the 60 miles to home, yup, the Check Engine light is back on. Now they will take care of it. And they will even provide Valet Service to pick up and redeliver our van. How foolish of Mercedes Corporation who will be paying for this extra cost. Only 1200 miles and itll have 2 service calls. Oh well for modern electronics and corporate finances.
