Well said, Nathan. Noone asks the dogs and cats if they want to be abandoned, dropped off or killed, and they didnt ask for much - just a home where people want them, care for them and can be companions with. No Kill Shelters should be there to help them find their forever homes, NOT to be killed when they are perfectly good pets that dont have a home. And why do they do not have a home?? People, thats why. People who breed for profit, people who decide they didnt want a pet after all, people who move and cant take their pet, it goes on and on and on. So no, it is NOT better to kill them than have them in a GOOD shelter. There is always hope that they will find a good home.
