Well,,,, seems like the year is ending just like it started!! MICKEY either slipped on frozen poop, got caught up in something, or took a kick to his front hock and is 3 legged right now. Craig our farrier of years, came to see if abscessed, and not so lucky Im afraid, thinks hes sprained his leg. So for now hes on complete stall rest with both fronts wrapped, and started on antibiotics with butte for pain. NO VETS available until Friday of coarse. No. 2) Our son-in-laws mother was taken to emergency last evening at 9:00 PM, with an infected knee and leg oozing with unsightly fluids, and was finally seen by a Dr at 5:00AM this morning & was admitted immediately. Robbie has had 3 bouts with Cancer thus far, and also suffers from diabetes. We wish her the best!!!! 3.) As for ourselves, weve been fighting a flu bug going on 4 weeks now, that keeps jumping from one thing to another, leaving us physically just simply lifeless. UGH 4.) Mares that were supposed to leave Silverado 3 weeks ago re hauler, are still here and taking up room we just dont have, and are subject to the same fate as MICKEY if they dont get out of here ASAP 5.) New mare HOLLY has to remain in Colorado for now, because of a ban imposed by Canadian officials on importing horses from Nebraska or Colorado. We know she is in good hands where she is at, but still $$ we hadnt budgeted on when we purchased her, plus its always fun to play with your new toys once purchased. 6.) etc etc etc Ill quit now, but could go on and on and on. Maybe my son is right about us building in the city and letting all the rest of you good FB friends carry on with the horses!?!?!?
