Well the 2014 MX school events have come to an end. As team Mangers (Ella Rodgers and George Swift) we would like to thank our two sponsors; Warkworth Motorcycles and the Kaipara Motorcycle club for all their time and effort that have given to the team. We would also like to thank the riders for riding their best and for never giving up, which paid off and allowed us to win our first ever school trophy, which is pretty good going for our first year at it!! Also to the parents for taking time out of their busy lives and driving us to Taupo, Te Puke, Ngatea, Mercer, and Ruakaka at crazy hours of the mornings. Everyone had a great time and had some awesome results, but our stand out performers were Jack Rodgers and Sam Mason, with Jack being the youngest member of the team, he did extremely well racing school boys 2 to 3 years older than him at most events, but he still came away with a trophy at each event he entered in! Same with Sam who entered in 3 school events and walked away with 3 trophies!! Well done boys. Our most successful school event was the Nailing the Peat run by Hauraki Plains College, which was a very well run event which allowed our new members to the team who had never raced before to give it a go! Mahurangi managed to finish 5th equal with HPC!! Just remember because there is no school motocross events for the rest of the year the Kaipara Motorcycle club run the Spectro trail rides which starts up this weekend (more info on silver bullet) in our area so make sure you head along to them for some good practise and to support one of our main sponsors !!! Next year we are looking to run our own school event with the help of the Kaipara Motorcycle club too, so watch this space for details!! We are also looking to expand the team next year from 11 people, with the fastest MX hairdresser in Rodney leaving us but will still be greatly involved with the team next year, and will run in the supporters class at nailing the peat 2015 !! Thanks again to everyone who has made the 2014 season go so smoothly bring on 2015. Tell your riding friends to get in contact with us to go on the email list to be kept up to date with whats going on!! Thanks Ella Rodgers and George Swift
