Well this $8.5 BILLION settlement between the US Govt. & Bank of America is a start. This gives money to the INVESTORS. But what about restitution for all the homeowners? Most of the settlements havent really compensated those hurt most directly. (No, $300 for fraudulently selling peoples homes and kicking them out is NOT restitution!!) And, I just learned in the five years Ive been fighting US Bank, their net worth has gone from $24 billion per year to now $361 billion. So is a one time $8.5 billion really that big of a deal?
