Well we are glad that is over! Todays test was a flash CT scan. - TopicsExpress

Well we are glad that is over! Todays test was a flash CT scan. It took almost 2 hours to get her iv in for the dye. We had a radiology nurse, a nicu/transport nurse, an anesthesia nurse, and an anesthesiologist attempting to get the iv in and 10 pokes sites (thats not counting how many tries at each site) before they were successful. After all that, the test took all of 30 seconds. Two of the cardiologists came down to watch the test, and then took the results up to go over and call the surgeon. The verdict is in and it IS TAPVR as originally thought. The surgeons could not believe it simply because her stats are TOO GOOD for this condition, especially at almost 4 months old. At this point we have been given the green light for surgery and are simply awaiting the call from the surgeon with a date. We are told to expect a call very soon as they want to get her in as soon as possible to do the repair, so it is just a matter of a date that works with their schedule. We will post a date as soon as we get the call!
