Well we made it to the big 50. Ugh....Sounds so.....old. But, considering a little over two months ago, there was talk that I had two weeks left to live. When told that, my first thoughts were, Ill miss the start of football season. And my birthday. We hit both those milestones today and ready to hit a few more. As you probably read, our CT scans yesterday revealed a number of the tumors have reduced in size. In that we thank God and rejoice! There were one or two others that slightly increased but the disconcerting statement was about my liver. It stated that yes, some tumors had gone done but there are far too many in that section to count. Just something else that we will face and tackle head-on. Were still looking at my future outlook on a monthly basis. Things can swing quickly either way, but as stated many times before, we are prepared for what comes next. You all know our faith and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has the perfect plan in this. Now for the thank yous. Holly Judd Rahn and I are stunned at the number of calls, emails and especially FB posts these last few days (and this morning!). We truly cherish each and every one of you and that is not just a blanket statement. From the notes to the Team Dave T-shirts, texts, emails, calls, visits and donations. There are also a few people that I would like to thank publicly for what they have done. Gary Plummer commits days out of the week to bring me lunch, take me to doctors visits, etc. Dr. Michael Kosty our oncologist at Scripps for spearheading our treatments and always available to answer questions. Ed DeBartolo and his entire family -- Candy DeBartolo Lisa DeBartolo Don Miggs Nikki DeBartolo. Its been almost 30 years Ive been associated with this family. There has never been or ever will be a better owner in professional sports. The care that they have for those who worked for them exceeds that. Forever indebted. My music family of Fleetwood Mac and Sheryl Crow. Cant thank enough each and every band and crew member from both groups for what they have done and continue to do. And to Sheryl. One of the classiest, most caring people I have ever met. A legend on and off the stage. Its an honor to work for her. Our immediate family - Rick and Terri Rahn, Ed McOrmond Karen McOrmond and Hollys family -- Dennis Judd Kathy Judd and their entire family Janette Judd Peatross Wade Peatross Cody Judd Britney Judd Stephanie Caplin Judd. Then there is my wife. I could go on and on about what she has done and how she has handled this. But simply said, she is the most precious gift that God has ever given me. Not a moment goes by where I dont look at her and realize how blessed I am with her in my life. Again, we love you all. Saying thank you just doesnt seem like enough.
