Well, whaddaya know? Im back on FB at last! Had suspicions that the 750Gb hard drive on my main computer was ready to pack it in, so backed up everything on my Christmas present of a 2Tb external drive, copied all documents, favourites, etc also. Which was just as well ... the following day, I got a message Hard Disk failure imminent. Phew! What luck! Tried formatting the drive and reinstalling Winders, but no joy whatever. Next move was to remove all [printers, modem, etc., the resurrected an old 500Gb drive and installed Windows 7 on that. Now installint 138 opdaates. Meantime, Im working on my little old Compaq 60Gb laptop -- which is painfully slow in comparison. But whatthe keck ... better a crumb than no bread at all. Extra news: As of yesterday, after a visit to the Doc, I discovered that Im a diabetic! Fancy getting to 85 years of age to disscover that. Not serious though, just mild. But the agony of it is that I must consume no more licorice allsorts, jelly beans, Smarties, chocolate or fizzy-wizzy drinks. OH, WOE IS ME! HOW CAN i SURVIVE>
