Went for the AAP public meeting at Azad Maidan at Panaji, Goa, this evening. It was a different kind of show, with political songs, music, talks in Konkani, Marathi, English and Hindi, a warmly appreciative audience which filled the portion of the maidan in front of the stage, I sat through two full hours of some eloquent speeches by Rajendra Kakodkar, Dr Oscar Rebello, North Goa candidate Dr Dattaram Desai, South Goa candidate Swati Kerkar, Satish Sonak, Rizvi and finally, Manish Sisodia himself. Enjoyed all the speeches and all the barbs. If AAP could do this in every town of Goa before the 12th, they may give the established parties a headache which no pill will cure. Dattaram Desai and Swati Kerkar are two of Indias best activists. If this country cannot send such people to Parliament in large numbers, we should all be ready to hold our heads in shame.
