Went on a safe pass course in Naas yesterday, and couldnt believe - TopicsExpress

Went on a safe pass course in Naas yesterday, and couldnt believe what I heard. The instructor was chatting to the class about how so many people are working on short term contracts and regularly needed to do these courses to keep opportunities open to them. He then started to critisize the government not about austerity or the sovereign debt that they put on all our, and our childrens shoulders, but the fact that they have created a political landscape in which, to use his words The man with the beard and glasses from across the border could very soon be our Taoiseach or Tanaiste . He then went on to say that Joan Burton was a very shrewd woman and proved that by estimating the water charges were going to be 200 euro per year for a family of four and we should vote for her/ her party in the general election. To add to this, he went on to say that we should all pay these charges......I was gobsmacked, and felt like getting up and leaving the class there and then but, I needed the cert to get onto a site this morning so had no choice but to stay. At lunchbreak, I mentioned it to some others from the class and they noted it too and were equally shocked..... A very sinister development. Reminded me of the priest in Limerick a few weeks ago who told the congregation in the middle of his Sunday service that they should pay their water charges. A lot of them got up and left......
