Went to TCRAS (Teller County Regional Animal Shelter) today. What a difference. They have 18 inside dog pens, but these dogs get to go outside to their own seperate place everyday. Cat room is small but very well kept. So neat to see a smaller shelter with small numbers and you can look at them knowing they will not have to be euthanized. Was very impressed, clean, smelt good, and the staff was fabulous (and they all are volunteers).......We also did some site seeing and drove by the Wolf Sanctuary pics will follow (mind you we drove by so we just lucked out enough to see one guy at the sanctuary, but rest assured I will be getting closer and getting more.
