Went to Walgreens to restock my lady products. I was waiting in line like one classy lass with mountains of pads and tampons in my arms (because using baskets are bad for the environment/America/Iforgot) and I finally get to the register when the lady switches with a rather young fellow right as I dump everything on the notoriously small Walgreens counter space. I have my own tote bag and hand it to him to put stuff in, which goes over well with the individual slice of chocolate cake and electric heating pad until he gets to the first box of tampons. He does not touch it. No. He pauses. Takes in the challenge ahead and attacks! He tips it over with the scanning gun until he finds the barcode. This valiant effort to efficiently sell me some merch goes on until everything has been scanned....yet untouched. He must have known that I pride myself on purchasing fully wrapped feminine hygiene products that are untainted by the abrasive, unfeeling male hand. But this gentleman was so thoughtful, so modern, one might even say un-phased by the presences of tampons and pads that he didnt. Even. Bag them. Instead, he waited until I realized that we werent going anywhere until I sorted through all of it and put it in the bag myself. I know what youre thinking! Lila, this is bananas! Let me stop you right there. He probably did not want to infringe upon my rights as a lady to bag my own groceries. I mean, thats class. That is consideration. That is a job well done. #ladypants #leggomyeggo #toomuch? #doyoueventampon
