Went to get gas in the gas cans this morning and ended up in tears. The nice guy up at the Mart recognized Mikes truck and came out to help me as I realized that full gas cans weigh a ton! And lifting them into that tall truck when youre only 52 is not an easy task. Dont get me wrong -- it was super great that he helped me and that he is still so sad Mr Mike is gone. It makes me feel good that he is missed and everyone loved Mr Mike. He was a mans man-- men respected him and the girls loved him -- Lordy knows...he was my best friend for 25 years. He wasnt perfect, but he lived the life he wanted to live and that joy he felt was so evident to others...I think thats why they felt good being around him. Anyway...Im having a crocodile-tear snot-suckin cry and missing those three kisses Mike gave me every isngle morning and night (one for yesterday, one for today and one for all the tomorrows) and knowing that last kiss wasnt enough for all the tomorrows I have left without him. Sadness.
