Went to see the wound doctor yesterday for results@of my culture. Culture showed 3 bacteria causing my infection, one which was a concern. He put me on Levaquin a strong antibiotic which will hopefully take care of the infection and take away the pain. He has changed the dressing to Silver Cell which after only one application has made a huge a huge difference in the drainage. All prayers that this antibiotic works and that I do not have to go to the hospital for IV antibiotics. Worst part of all is that my hip replacement surgery needs to be postponed until this wound is healed. Going for venous ultrasound and labs on Friday to find the reason for the wound so it can be treated and healed hopefully.
