Went to the Cincinnati Eye Institute to see an eye surgeon this - TopicsExpress

Went to the Cincinnati Eye Institute to see an eye surgeon this AM. The MRI I had done last week shows a 2cm X 2cm X 3cm (fairly large) potential lymphoma behind my right eye. It is pushing the eyeball out and down and slightly distorting my vision. I also have dull pain and pressure behind the eye constantly. The surgeon wants to do a biopsy and removal of the mass sometime in January. Theres potential for eye damage, infection, yada, yada, but hes one of the best in his field in the country so thats not too likely - as he said, I do this for a living. There is a slight chance it may be something worse than a lymphoma (a form of cancer) but the biopsy will tell. He said if you must have a cancer, a lymphoma is the kind to get. In the meantime, I look like Igor in Young Frankenstein with my eyeball popping out the way it does... :) Ugly - Im quite self conscious of it.
